Dollywood's rides, shows and festivals are about 15 minutes from your door, close enough for midday pool breaks back at the resort. Pigeon Forge adds dinner shows, go-karts, mini golf, outlet shopping and The Island's restaurants and attractions along the Parkway.

Gatlinburg's strip, aquarium and arts-and-crafts community are about 25 minutes away. Keep going and you reach Sugarlands, the main gateway to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in about 35 minutes: trailheads, waterfalls, scenic drives and wildlife in the country's most-visited national park.

Smart-lock check-in from 4:00 PM. Grocery run to Publix, dinner cooked across six kitchens, then hot tub and firepits under the string lights.
Rope-drop at Dollywood (~15 min). Break back at the resort pool mid-afternoon, return for evening shows, or stay in and run a game-room tournament.
Morning drive to Sugarlands (~35 min) for a waterfall hike, late lunch in Gatlinburg, and one last swim before checkout at 10:00 AM the next morning.
Spring brings wildflowers to the park. Summer is pool season, though here the pool never closes. Fall color fills the Smokies, and winter brings Dollywood's holiday season and quiet mountain mornings. The heated indoor pool keeps the resort a year-round base whatever the weather decides to do.

Everything above is within about an hour of the resort, and the best of it is 15 to 35 minutes away.
